Heather Rolland, LCSW

Heather (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker, with over a decade of experience working with adults, children, and families in outpatient clinic and school settings. Heather has worked with a wide variety of people addressing life problems, from family violence and domestic abuse to alcoholism and drug addiction. She has a deep and compassionate understanding of how relationships, situations, and circumstances impact mental health.

Heather studied women’s studies and photography as an undergraduate and worked as the Executive Director of a free, on-campus women’s health center while an undergraduate. She traveled as a photographer in Canada, Europe, India, Nepal, and Nicaragua before completing her Masters in Social Work at Adelphi University.

Heather sees psychotherapy as a way to use creativity -- stories, word and pictures -- to rediscover inspiration and recreate vitality, even from deep suffering. She is currently accepting patients aged 18+.
